Especially inviting is the seaside village of Vero Beach. People who live beach side year round enjoy its ambiance as much as the seasonal visitors and tourists who browse through the shops, dine at the fine restaurants and stay at the oceanfront resorts.

The cultural center at Riverside Park is where the Center for the Arts, Riverside Theater and Agnes Wahlstrom Children's Theater are located. In Vero Beach, Indian River Shores and the tiny town of Orchid, gated communities are winter residential retreats for the affluent or are year-round homes for those who don't want to leave the beautiful surroundings.

To the north is Disney's Vero Beach Resort, a vacation ownership resort. On nearby Wabasso Island, you will find the popular Environmental Learning Center.  At the island's north end is the Sebastian Inlet State Recreation Area which attracts campers, nature lovers, fishermen and surfers.
